Tuscan Inlays
in silver
The jewels in this collection, made of silver, are inspired by the motifs of the inlays, which were born in very ancient times. The Cathedral of Siena represents a masterpiece of this technique, with its fifty six inlays which decorate the floor and walls. The inlays in white Luni marble and Prato green marble have particularly influenced these creations, like the Baptistery of Saint John and the facade of Santa Maria Novella. The geometry of the forms become decoration, creating antique motifs but with a modern and innovative twist.
