Medusa Jewels

The processing of Medusa jewels is inspired by a detail of the statue of “Il Perseo”, which is located in Piazza della Signoria under the Loggia dei Lanzi, in Florence. Observing the head of the Medusa depicted by Benvenuto Cellini, we find its details in the processing of the jewels handmade by Mauro Bandinelli.
The Medusa artworks were exhibited at the exhibition “The Room of Wonders” set up in Palazzo Vecchio in Florence for Florens 2010, and in the International Week of Cultural and Environmental Heritage, also in Florence.
